The house is situated on Acropoleos Street, on a plot with an excellent view to the historical center of Thessaloniki and the Thermaikos Gulf, only partially limited by the adjoining buildings.

These characteristics determine the organization of the plan, by placing the courtyard and the main spaces towards the side of the view and, at the same time, restoring the building line on Acropoleos Street.

As far as the vertical organization of the house is concerned, due to the intense fall of the plot, the north-eastern side appears as two-storey high while the south-west rises one storey higher. Thessaloniki’s view and the location of the adjoining buildings lead to the fundamental choice of placing the living room and reception areas, as well as the kitchen, at the upper level and the bedrooms and auxiliary spaces at the lower levels of the building.

Main spaces are visually distinguished by the two wooden roofs and the use of projecting architectural volumes. These architectural elements clearly define the position and the shape of the main living quarters (living room, kitchen, covered balcony) and at the same time determine the structure system of the building (a concrete base with small openings, topped by lighter projecting volumes covered with sliding and folding wooden elements).

The roofs are made of wooden beams, visible inside, having openings on the triangular pediment drums, in order to ensure the nightly cooling of the spaces and their indirect additional lighting.
